Homeless Awareness Week – The Third week in January brings awareness to the community around the issue of homelessness and the services offered by A Place Called Home. Look for our many events throughout the week and watch for our little 'bank-houses' in businesses around the city.

Geranium sale – Purchase Lindsay’s official flower – By Purchasing Lindsay's Official Flower, you will be helping to ensure that everyone has…'a place called home' all proceeds go to help the homeless of our community.

Annual Antique Show and sale - at the Victoria Park Armoury. Over 25 vendors from all over Ontario. Admission $3.00 with all proceeds going to help the homeless of our community.

Annual Christmas card sale - Give the gift of shelter. Buy a Christmas card and help the homeless of our community.

A Christmas Carol - In cooperation with CBC Radio; A Place Called Home is pleased to once again present a reading of Dickens' (A Christmas Carol). - Sunday December 17th at Cambridge Street United Church. We are pleased to have Evergreen Home & Cottage Inc. sponsor this very special event. "A Christmas Carol" featuring four local readers and CBC's Dwight Smith. The readings will be accompanied by local talent, including Soloists, Men's Quartet, and the Cambridge Street United Church Bell Choir. Tickets will be on sale Mid November.
