Our History

Who We Are? What We Do?
In the Fall of 1990, a two women with no place to go for shelter appealed to a local minister (the late Rev. John McMurray) for assistance, one a single parent with two children. The Reverend quickly found that no services were available within the County for the homeless. This event quickly became the catalyst to action. Through the efforts of the Lindsay and District Ministerial Association, a call went out to all churches for volunteers. Volunteers, representing a healthy cross-section of the church community, have created an independent, incorporated organization. Our goal is to provide transitional shelter with access to appropriate support services to single adults and families within our community who are homeless.

We are those volunteers and we call ourselves
